Wendy Tilby and Amanda Forbis Retrospective + Q&A

  • 100 mins

In the films of Amanda Forbis & Wendy Tilby, characters oscillate between connectivity and isolation and discover in the process the hidden links that bring us together in traumatic times. They couldn’t have known when they made the work, but it all feels oddly prescient for these strange times we find ourselves in now, grasping for community and kinship with those around us, near and far. Their work spans Oscar-nominated short films, commercials, illustrations and projections. We are pleased to present a retrospective of work from the two filmmakers, followed by a Q&A moderated by Michael Fukushima, head of animation at the National Film Board of Canada.
